“Feeding by Reading is a wonderful and FUN way to promote literacy, word exploration and vocabulary building through the use of books.  This amazing program allows children to identify and understand the reality of food deprivation within their local and surrounding communities; and its impact on intellectual stimulation, mental, physical and emotional health.  Children are personally making a difference and taking action to provide access to food by reading.   Feeding by Reading is a child empowering means to combat hunger.”
— Alison Bryant Director, CWU Food Pantry, Irvington, NJ
