Dear Parents,

Feeding by Reading is coming to Irvington!

Feeding by Reading is a read-a-thon pledge drive where kids read books to raise money to provide food for families in need!

Feeding by Reading is fun, active and engaging. Kids can win prizes for reading, be on reading teams, and make a difference in the community.

Feeding by Reading is a fantastic opportunity for kids to make a difference in the
community by reading. Our hope is that students who participate in this program will achieve higher grades and do better on exams. We also feel the long term benefits of this program will last a lifetime; inspiring capable people eager to make a difference in the world by bettering themselves!

Reading for the program is extra-curricular, and will be done outside of school hours and on days off. Books are provided, as are reading logs and program materials.

If you’d like to contribute to the program, please do so at feedingbyreading.org.

All donations can be done safely and easily online and are tax deductible. The money raised by the children will all go to the Church Women United Food Pantry of Irvington to feed people in the Irvington community.

Please see the Parent Guide for information on how to best support your child,
and what to expect from the program.

If you have any questions feel free to check out FeedingbyReading.org or contact your parent coordinator.
